Dedicating Yourself to His Presence

I don’t want to make this to long, so I will come directly to the point.  YOU CAN’T REALLY SAY THAT YOU ARE HUNGRY FOR REVIVAL UNTIL YOU HAVE LEARNED TO DEDICATE YOURSELF TO HIS PRESENCE!

The OUTPOURING of the Holy Spirit is released through the invasion of the Father’s Presence.  The Upper Room wasn’t filled with the Spirit of Revival, the 120 were!!!  It was the Presence of the Lord released through them that filled the room and then Jerusalem then Samaria and now the uttermost parts of the earth.

Throughout History, those who have learned to dedicate themselves to the Presence of the Lord have been the vessels of Revival.  Peter dedicated himself to the Presence of the Lord to such a degree that even his shadow would get people healed.  Paul dedicated himself to the Presence of the Lord to such a degree that he would put aprons and cloths upon his body and send them out and people would be healed.  John Lake dedicated himself so much to the presence of the Lord that when people would look into his eyes, many would fall to their knees, ask for forgiveness, repent and receive salvation.

You must come to grips with this and realize that you must dedicate yourself.  That is the price you must pay.  You must value His presence above all else.  As you begin this process you will learn who you are in Christ and that your life is victorious in Him.  As you dedicate yourself to His Presence you will find that it becomes easier and easier to push things away that are holding you back.  As you develop that atmosphere, you will see the Glory of the Lord released everywhere that you go.

Response to a question regarding Signs, Wonders and Miracles on the earth today, and their validity.

It’s great to hear from you. I am sorry that I don’t totally remember you, but my wife does:)

Regarding your question, I will respond the best that I can:) Please know that I am responding to your question with the intention to inform and present what we believe to be true and accurate according to the Word of God (so please don’t take it personal:)

#1 – Your quote regarding scripture “a wicked generation seeks after a sign”. Jesus was speaking to the pharisees and sadducees and against their intentions. They sought Jesus to perform a sign to validate himself to them as the Son of God. And He responded to them that the only sign they would receive to validate his being the Son of God was the sign of Jonah. As Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for 3 days and nights, so Jesus would be for 3 days and nights in the heart of the earth. The sign that Jesus game them was His death, burial and resurrection!!!

#2 – Signs and Wonders are not sought after to convince the World that Jesus is Lord and they are not solely for the unbeliever to be convinced. Signs, Wonders and Miracles are manifested to all who need the Supernatural Touch of Heaven/Jesus.

#3 – Jesus said:
“Mat 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

Mat 9:12 But when Jesus heard [that], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Mar 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Mar 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Mar 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

Mar 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Jhn 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

Jhn 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.

Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

#4 – I could go on all day if you would like to elaborate the validity of Signs and Wonders, but for the sake of time and space I won’t:)

#5 – If we are to fulfill and increase the ministry of Christ on the earth by the Power of the Holy Spirit, then signs, wonders and miracles must be a part of that ministry!!! Signs and Wonders validate and point to the Supremecy and Dominion of Christ over all things in Heaven and Earth.

#6 – Regarding your question regarding manifestations/media, etc. I will give you a few examples to think and mediate honestly on. If you didn’t have teeth or couldn’t afford a dentist and needed a miracle in your mouth and the Spirit of God manifested in your mouth, why not put something in there that would keep such as a gold tooth (not such a bad thing) Imagine today if you were broke and needed money to pay your taxes and the spirit of Christ rose within you and you told them to go fishing and the first fish they caught would have their tax money in it. Most would say, “that’s the devil”. Imagine if Peter had a video camera when Jesus was transfigured and Moses and Elijah appeared. What do you think it would have looked like to us today. Most in the church would say, “that was manipulated with editing equipment” The same would be true if they took pictures with a camera:) Just food for thought.

#7 – Our vision and quest is to give this world Jesus and the baptism of fire he promised through the Holy Spirit. Jesus demonstrates his love to all mankind by manifesting his spirit in various ways to minister to the earth and bring Glory to the Father.

A Wake Up Call to the Church!!!

The following is taken from “When Heaven Invades Earth” by Bill Johnson:

“In my own pursuit of God, I often became preoccupied with ME! It was easy to think that being constantly aware of my faults and weakness was humility. It’s not! If I’m the main subject, talking incessantly about my weaknesses, I have entered into the most subtle form of pride. Repeated phrases such as, “I’m so unworthy,” become a nauseating replacement for the declaration of the worthiness of God. By being sold on my own unrighteousness, the enemy has disengaged me from effective service. It’s a perversion of true holiness when introspection causes my spiritual self-esteem to increase, but my effectiveness in demonstrating the power of the gospel to decrease. True brokenness causes complete dependency of God, moving us to radical obedience that releases the power of the gospel to the world around us”

Back to reality now!!! (this is me writing now, not Bill Johnson) WAKE UP AND STOP BEING A BUNCH OF PANSIES!!! STOP CRITICIZING THOSE WHO ALREADY KNOW THEY ARE NOTHING WITHOUT CHRIST AND HAVE CHOSEN TO WALK IN HIS POWER BY LETTING GO OF THEIR WEAKNESS AND EMBRACING HIS SPIRIT!!! UNLESS YOUR HUMILITY IS PRODUCING THE WORKS OF CHRIST AND DEMONSTRATING THE KINGDOM, IT’S NOT HUMILITY!!! 

The world doesn’t need your weakness and so called humility, they need Christ and His Kingdom in you!!!

I do have a part to play…Who knew

You know what?  So many people today don’t realize how important a part they have been called to in the Kingdom.  Once again, I hold the leadership of today’s “church’s” responsible.  There is so much more that Leaders need to be doing, but…  That is another post:)

Many don’t understand that we have a huge part to play.  I love what my friend Duncan Smith says, “The Kingdom and Miracles are 100% Jesus, but they are also 100% you”.  One of my favorite examples of this is found in Exodus.  When the Lord is speaking with Moses about his calling and what he must do while he is in Egypt.  The Lord specifically prepares him for the signs and wonders that he must ready to demonstrate under the mighty power of the Holy Spirit.

Repeatedly Moses is asked to do certain things (throw down his staff and pick it up, put his hand into his cloak and take it out, etc).  We see later the Lord instructing him to hold out his rod over the sea, to strike the rock, to speak to the rock, to lift up the serpent on the pole, etc.  Through these examples we begin to see a pattern emerge.  The Kingdom/Signs, Wonders & Miracles have to be worked.  And they have to worked through YOU!!!  Through YOUR HANDS and YOUR FAITH!!!  

Without you, there is no demonstration of the Kingdom.  So many place the emphasis on Christ alone.  If it is His will and many other things.  We have made doctrines based off of our failures and laziness.  When the simple truth is this.  YOU HAVE A PART TO PLAY in the Kingdom!!!  And that part is to manifest the KINGDOM here on the earth as it is in Heaven.  It is 100% Jesus, but it is also 100% you.  So stop being fearful and waiting for permission.  Start demonstrating the KINGDOM today, right now!!! What oceans have you been called to split, what rocks have you been called to speak to, what dead people have you been called to raise?  You won’t know until you start doing it!!!  The world needs you right now, the Fire of the Holy Spirit need an open vessel to burn in!!!  Who knew, you do you have a party to play!!!

Be YOURSELF!!!

You know what?  The more people that I meet within the Bride of Christ, the more I realize something that is very alarming to me. So many believers are uncomfortable with who they are.  Why is that?  I used to have a myriad of answers for that but I am finding a way to simply them to just a few.  So here goes, the majority of Leaders within the Body of Christ who are entrusted with the charge to encourage growth are not keeping their charge!  

Many Leaders are teaching believers how to be like them (which may not be a horrible thing in some cases), but our charge is to teach believers how to be like JESUS!  Or have we forgotten that?  Believe it or not, you are a wonderful person and you are created in the image of your Father in Heaven.  You are the workmanship of Heaven.  You are a new creature created in Christ and old things have passed away and all things have become new.  Why would you want to be like somebody else when you could be just like Christ!  The wonderful thing about you is that no one else is like you on earth.  The Bride of Christ needs your diversity, we need your talents and gifts to be used through the personality you have been given in Christ!  There is nothing wrong with the you that is in Christ.  

So get into the Word and spend as much time as you can seeking the Father about the Plans, Purposes and Pursuits that He has for your life.  Don’t be led by men, be led by the Spirit.  Let the OUTPOURING of the Holy Spirit be your hearts desire and let the manifestation of the Kingdom be your fruit.  Think outside of man’s little box of religion and control.  Whether you’re in jeans, shorts, dress clothes, tshirts, sneakers, sandals or even have a tattoo.  Don’t forget to BE YOURSELF!!!
